A new eatery opens in New Delhi every other day but whenever I visit the capital I never miss going to my favourite cafe, Big Chill in Khan Market. Established twenty years ago, this quirky outlet decorated with vintage movie posters, has stood the test of time with its consistently great food. Although there’s a vast selection of delicious Italian food, luscious shakes, hearty sandwiches and more; it’s the outstanding desserts, which are a cut above the rest.
It’s tough to choose from sweet temptations such as Squidgy Chocolate Mousse Cake, Baked Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake, Devil’s Food Cake and Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream but my standard order is their Banoffee Pie! There’s just something about that lavish concoction of a biscuit base, layers of silky dulche de leche and bananas, with a generous topping of whipped cream that will take you to sweet nirvana! Every spoonful will make you go mmm!
Next time you’re in the vicinity of Big Chill, pop in to indulge in this scrumptious dessert, it’ll definitely make your day.
