A Thaali can be one of the most soul-satisfying means of indulging in a meal, with a great variety of foods served in one large plate. This time we pick our favourite south Indian thaalis as they’re one of the most diverse yet comforting meals one can rely on. Here’s presenting our top three restaurants that serve the most outstanding thaalis in Hyderabad.


Dakshin offers a wholesome experience when it comes to not just food but ambience as well. The restaurant at ITC Kakatiya states luxury in every corner. Chef Sakala Sankara and his team dish out the best of south Indian cuisine in every meal, especially in thaalis where consistency has been a major plus point. Chintapandu pulihara, Chutneys, Badam Halwa and Elaneer Payasam are some of their must-haves.

Another restaurant that never disappoints is Rayalaseema Ruchulu, which has been around in the city for many years now. For both lunch and dinner, there are multiple thaalis available. Every individual ‘Special Rayalaseema Thaali’ has chicken, mutton, egg, seafood and vegetarian assortments at pocket-friendly pricing.

The Spicy Venue:

One of Hyderabad’s age-old restaurants for authentic south Indian cuisine is, The Spicy Venue. The place has a simple ambience, but that doesn’t deter families from dining here frequently. The Thaalis are a big hit here with typical south Indian foods like Ulavacharu, Ragi Sankati, Kodi Pulusu and Apricot Delight, to name a few.
