It goes without saying that Ginger and Garlic are two of the most essential ingredients in an Asian kitchen. The aromas and flavours they bring to a dish can be so gratifying. But we’re also aware how peeling off the skins could be so infuriating, taking away so much of your time and effort. We have two simple yet effective hacks for you to get rid of their skins as quickly and easily as possible.
1. Don’t use a knife to peel ginger. Always use a teaspoon instead to peel it off. You’ll realise how effortless this is!
2. Take a garlic bulb and separate all the cloves. Take a big knife and smack each clove with the flat side. The peels will automatically fall off.
