Growing up, we’ve all seen meat and chicken being washed and cleaned thoroughly in our households before being made into delectable curries, but it now seems that we’ve been doing it all wrong! Experts say that bacteria in raw meat can be spread all over your kitchen when you wash it under running water, thus contaminating work counters along with pots & pans. The germs then thrive causing us to fall sick.
Cooking meat and poultry at correct temperatures will kill those pesky microorganisms anyway, especially in Indian cooking where we like our meat well done and succulent. So remember to break the habit and cook your proteins properly instead.
