Welcome to the July Edition of Ceia!
As the monsoon strengthens its grip all over the country, the aroma of freshly fried pakoras emanates from each household, accompanying an orchestra of musical raindrops. For many food lovers, this is their favourite time of year and with good reason. Corn roasted on coal, hot mirchi bhajis, crispy potato filled samosas, aloo bonda, brittle jelabis, and of course, glasses of steaming, hot cutting chai, all bring back memories of munching tasty snacks while watching the descending rain. In our article, ‘The Magic of the Monsoon’, the whole nostalgia of the rainy season and its romance with food is beautifully described by Supriya Sikka Bedi.
